Canon: Underworld; post second film
Age: Approximately 670
Species: Former human; now vampire
History: Applicable to the end of Evolution.
Personality: Selene is usually cold towards most other beings, be they human or not. She has spent her entire vampire existence blaming the lycanthropes, or werewolves, for the death of her family centuries ago. That hatred and rage she expels by killing any "lycan" she comes across, which garnered her a place in the vampires' "Death Dealer" squadron. She has little tolerance for the usual frivolities which the others in the coven indulge, preferring to spend her time hunting or testing weapons to be used in their never ending war with the werewolves.
Although diligently pursued by Kraven, Selene disdains his advances, even slapping him away when he refuses to take no for an answer. With Michael, at first she is cold and businesslike, but eventually warms to him as the story progresses and she learns the truth about what truly happened to her family. She has a strong sense of justice and takes it very seriously, wanting to find the truth in any mystery she discovers.
However, she is extremely loyal to those who gain her trust and confidence, willing to do whatever she can for those few individuals, as she was to Viktor, whom she believed saved her from the lycan slaughter the night her family was murdered. She doesn’t regret being a vampire; it's allowed her to live longer than a human, but she does not take human life unnecessarily. In contrast, her feeding victims are always willing, usually used only once then never contacted again, as she does not want to have complicated attachments.
She did, however, form a heavy relationship with Micheal Corvin, suggesting she is not completely frigid and would enter into such a relationship with the "right" partner, more than likely one who knew of her vampirism and past history.
Weaponry: Two fully automatic Beretta 92FS, two Walther P99s, one H&K MP5A3 machine gun, one Heckler & Koch MP5K, one Remington 870 12-gauge shotgun, as well as several clips of ammunition for each, one set of high-silver content throwing knives.
Abilities: Some resistance to sunlight, accelerated healing and agility, highly superhuman abilities - jumping great high distances and falling from extreme heights. Able to ability to hold her breath for long periods underwater and decapitate humans and lesser vampires with one strike, very proficient with most types of firearms and well versed in bladework. Can take heavy damage without consequence, is able to move faster than a human eye can track. Thanks to the blood of Alexander Corvinus, any other abilities his immortality might have passed on are as yet unknown.
Other: Requires blood to survive. Not required to kill in order to feed--usually opts for packaged plasma when possible. (But open to biting/feeding as a kink/sexual scenario.)
